Attention: Louisiana Gun Owners

Next Tuesday, May 12th, the Louisiana House Committee on Administration of Criminal Justice will consider two bills concerning 2nd Amendment Rights. One needs to be shot down as soon as possible. The other is long overdue and should be passed quickly.

HB387 would severly restrict ownership of semi-automatic firearms and magazines and would require that present owners of these items register them with the State Police and have to be licensed to own them. It also would allow the State Police to physically inspect private homes for compliance! THIS IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL AND A TOTAL INVASION OF PRIVACY. THIS MUST NOT BE BROUGHT UP FOR A VOTE!

HB 27 would allow Louisianians with Concealed Handgun Licenses to carry their firearms for self-defense on college campuses. THIS MUST BE PASSED. NOT ALLOWING LICENSED CONCEALED CARRY HOLDERS TO CARRY ON CAMPUS MEANS IT’S OPEN SEASON ON COLLEGE STUDENTS FOR ANY NUT JOB WHO WANTS TO KILL A LOT OF PEOPLE AT AS LITTLE RISK TO HIMSELF AS POSSIBLE.
